Do You Believe In Miracles?
Yesterday was the last day of 100 Days to 10,000 Copies campaign. When the day started, the wall said 2,853 copies sold. By evening it hit 3,100, and I wrote you another email. Then the day ended, the wall froze, and the number said 4,126.
What???
1,273 copies in one day? That’s insane. That’s a miracle. I wish we could have 100 “last days.”
According to my literary agent, the final number put Easy Discipline in the top 1% of all book pre-sale campaigns.
Who made it happen? YOU!

You have inspired me so much MORE from how you've handled not hitting your 10K goal, than if you would have hit it. It takes guts to aim for the stars and you're so right. 85-year-old You won't give a flying fudgesicle that you didn't get to 10K in 100 days.
Instead, 85-year-old You will be smiling back at the fact that you chose to set foot in the arena. That you declared this outrageous goal publicly! So that your "place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat" as T.R. liked to say.
I think we learn more through "failure" (aka the acquisition of life lessons that we can only get through having the courage to try) than we do from success.
Thank you for being such a role model on how to set absurdly big goals and navigate moving toward them with grace, humor, and a big smile on your face. You're the man.
